Message from the Principal
Dear Families, Hello Summit families, We hope you are doing well. We are very excited about the building move to the Castro Build, which will allow us to provide a better student experience for all our students. We invite you to a virtual information meeting next Wednesday March 12, at 6pm using this link: meet.google.com/jsx-cgqx-nrk. It is the same information we shared yesterday at the in-persion meeting in our school cafeteria. We completed our 2nd trimester this past Friday, congratulations to all of our students that have completed all Graduation requirements and will be participating at our Graduation ceremony in May. We begin our new trimester this Monday March 10th. Please have conversations with your student about attendance and completing class assignments to close out the school year strong. As a reminder, starting March 18th, students can to stay for office hours from 3:08-3:40 to complete missing assignments and any assessments they have missed to try to get the most credits possible. This upcoming week, dismissal will be at 3:08pm, so there will be no office hours. We understand that you may have questions about the building move, and we invite all Panther students and families to attend the upcoming Facility Usage Discussion on March 10 from 5:30-8 p.m. at Castro Elementary. A third-party facilitator will guide the discussion, sharing how community feedback helped shape this decision. Dr. Marrero will also be present to talk about this transition and answer questions. Interpretation services, childcare, and light refreshments will be available. We hope to see you there. Thank you for your continued support as we navigate this transition together. Please ensure you continue reading for important announcements and resources. Warm Regards, Mr. Osorio & Ms. Beck Principals Summit Academy
