Dear Families, I can’t believe it is already February! The second trimester ends on March 7. Please check your student’s grades in student/parent portal and talk to your student about the importance of attending every day and staying for office hours support from 3:08-3:40 Tuesday-Friday. Middle school students are setting important attendance and academic habits now that can set them up for success in high school and beyond. High school students can earn up to 30 credits each trimester setting them up for on-time or early graduation, college courses, trade school, or apprenticeships. We have seen a huge increase in the use of vape pens. Make sure you have conversations with your student about the choices they are making and the consequences for their health. You can always reach out to our Social Emotional team for resources to support you in having these conversations or if you have any questions. Please read the information about immigration in the link below. As always, DPS and Summit Academy are committed to supporting and serving ALL of our students in a safe learning environment. Please reach out if you have any questions. Please ensure you continue reading for important announcements and resources. Stay safe and warm this weekend! Warm Regards, Mr. Osorio & Ms. Beck Principals Summit Academy | ||||||||
