MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Dear Summit Families,
We will have parent teacher conferences next Wendesday from 10am to 6pm. Please come and meet with your student’s teachers to find out how your student is doing academically and also to find information about our Collaborative School Committee, our PAC documents, FACE resources and much more. We are very excited to see you on this day. Please remember to check your student grades in student portal. Please keep talking to your student about safe use of social media as well as the importance of reporting anything they see or hear that will impact the safety of our Summit Community.
Congratulations to our Summit students and Summit staff as we scored green for the 7th year in a row on our School Performance Framework. This would not be possible without the support and commitment from all our families!
GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
We are looking for three parents to be part of the Collaborative School Commitee, plese email Mr. Osorio at josorio@dpsk12.net if you are interested. This committee is responsible for acting as the School Accountability Committee (SAC) for the building and Providing guidance, evaluation, and recommendations to the Principal. Meetings will occur once a month from 4 to 5pm on the 4th Wednesday of the month.
Health News: Telehealth is available at Summit Academy!
Students now have access to a provider from Denver Health, right in the student Health Office. With parent permission, students can have a telehealth appointment, and potentially receive medication to help with things like headaches or cramps, allowing them to more comfortably stay in school. No charge! Or, if a student needs to be seen in person, Denver Health can help set up an appointment.
Denver Health will have a table set up at conferences next week (9/27), where parents can ask questions and sign a consent form for the school year. Consent forms can also be picked up at the front office, or signed electronically through this link:
